White Sox beat Yankees in 9th by The Star-Ledger Continious Newsdesk Friday April 25, 2008, 1:53 AM Joe Crede singled in the winning run off Joba Chamberlain in the bottom of the ninth last night and the Chicago White Sox beat the Yankees, 7-6, to avoid a three-game sweep. Carlos Quentin doubled with one out off Chamberlain (1-1) and Crede lined a single to left-center to score him.
